Full of pleasant surprises, the 2010 Holiday season continues its intrigue as Jordan Brand announces the official retro if its Black/Altitude Green XIII model, the first since the sneaker’s original release in 2005. Slightly changed for 2010 (arguably for the better), the design scraps its original leather upper panel and replaces it with the traditional mesh seen within the Flint Grey and Black/Red XIII. All other details remain in-tact, including the texture leather paneling and iconic hologram. A release is expected in December 2010. Photography: Hypebeast

If you name the most interesting new recording artist to have emerged this year, the list probably encompasses only a small number of worthy candidates. One name that should ring a bell is Mansions On The Moon. The Echo Park-trio was formed a little over a year ago and has already garnered a prominent co-sign by N*E*R*D. Although hard to categorize, their unique sound boasts multi-genre elements which indicate a wide range of musical capabilities. In order to introduce themselves in a proper way, MOTM has now released their first mixtape Paradise Falls which is presented by Diplo and DJ Benzi. In addition, Hypetrak sat down with the band and talked about their style, their mixtape and future steps. With a debut original album set for a 2011-release, these young musicians deserve to be on your radar. Listen above and Download below.

After going to war with his label Atlantic Records over releasing his third albumLasers and securing a March 8 release, Lupe Fiasco debuted his Kane Beatz-produced first single “The Show Goes On” on Ustream.
Kicking off with a busy electric guitar melody, the song gives way to a sing-song chorus about partying all night until the sun goes up. “Already the show goes on all night/ ‘Til the morning we dream so long,” goes the chorus. “If you are my homeboy, you never have to pay me/ Go and put your hands up, when times get hard you stand up,” raps Lupe on the ebullient tune. The guitar and chorus are sampled from Modest Mouse’s “Float On”. You can listen and buy the track above.
